My kitchen was more than 30 years old and dated to say the least! Victor met with me and ensured he understood my vision of the new kitchen. He asked questions to ensure clarity and he pointed out when things were not possible. He also made valuable suggestions and proposed ideas that I has not even thought of but proved invaluable.
Victor and his team at VH Construction were responsible for cabinets, countertops, electrical- including installing additional lighting, plumbing, and flooring. In essence, the VH Construction team took down and rebuilt the kitchen. During all this, victor and his crew were always punctual, very professional, and knowledgeable. When a few unexpected issues arose, victor was very quick to communicate the situation and propose solutions and workarounds until the solutions could be implemented.
The result has been a project that was delivered on time, on budget and with bare minimum of disruption and cleanup. I LOVE my new kitchen! VH Construction and victor are my go-to folks for any future project. I will be calling them to re do my bathrooms. I had always heard that renovations and particularly kitchen renovations, were nightmarish. My experience has been quite opposite. Victor and his crew at VH Construction made the experience a dream. I recommend them most highly.

Victor Garcia is a true craftsman. He’s thorough and he comes up with ingenious solutions to remodeling problems. He never tries to interfere with your own design considerations, but when asked he often comes up with options that improve and refine your own ideas. It is a pleasure to work with Victor. He’s kind, courteous, and reliable.
He’s also available for follow up. It’s important to him that he do a good job. I’ve been so pleased with the work Victor has done for me that I have asked him to consider a second project.

I’ve done extension renovation on historical property on a 1920’s Connecticut Ave co-op that I purchased as my new home. Victor Garcia/VH Construction came highly recommended. I interviewed several contractors for this extensive kitchen and dining room renovation project that involved opening walls, raising ceilings, installing recessed lighting, moving electrical cables and water lines in addition to the more typical renovations and installations such as cabinets, countertops, appliances, etc. I immediately recognized that VH Contractor’s prices were extremely competitive – but it was also Victor’s professionalism and extensive experience with this kind of project that immediately sold me!
From our first meeting, I knew Victor was the perfect contractor for this project. I was particularly impressed with Victor’s extensive experience dealing with the “challenges” that accompany renovations in older buildings and homes. In addition, Victor worked beautifully with my co-op Board’s approval process and the unforeseen challenges of the project. Victor respected the fact that I was on a fairly tight budget. He worked with me to find solutions and provide suggestions that he knew not only met my project objectives, but he also recognized where a modification in the scope of work would be a great return on my investment and provide me great and lasting happiness with the “final project.”
All of VH Construction LLC employees were an absolutely delight to work and of course met all of the DC licensing requirements. Victor is unquestionably the kindest, most professional contractor I’ve ever worked with.
